During the Tanzania safari map to locate you spend most of the day inside the 4 × 4 with hardly any opportunities to get off. So you should wear comfortable, cool clothes and comfortable shoes . Sneakers are perfect. Even sandals if you rush me. Cotton clothes or something with which you feel comfortable. You will be sitting most of the time. It is better to wear clothes in ocher or earth tones because you will suck up kilos of dust and you will have few washing options. A hat for the sun and sun cream. And above all, a fleecethat does not weigh much. Believe me you will need it. At dawn and at night it is very cold and you will be glad you listened to me. And I assure you that I am not a whim and I live in the North of Spain, where summer is conspicuous by its absence and winter is harsh. So I am used to cold climates. As the day progresses, you will take off your clothes. So it is best to dress in layers .

If you like photography, this is also an important part of your luggage. But you do not need to buy a special camera just for this trip or a mega lens with a TV as if you were a papparazzi. It is important to carry a good lens or zoom, but the animals look much closer than I would have ever imagined.
If you use a reflex you must have good lenses, so you either rent it if you don't have it or you spend a lot of money buying it, so a highly recommended option is a bridge camera that has a good optical zoom . You won't have to be changing lenses and there are really good cameras of this type. my reflex and that to travel and visit Tanzania safari map it is a wonder, since it weighs much less and I do not have to keep changing objectives continuously. There are many styles like mine.
Above all, it has several memory cards and if you can, at least two batteries . You won't always have the option to load them.
I also advise you to enjoy the experience and do not spend the whole trip continuously taking photos without enjoying the scenery and animals before you.
Some binoculars can be highly recommended for bird watching and if you like a flashlight or frontal will also be very helpful for nights in the camps. Although generally when you leave your tent at night someone from the camp will accompany you -usually armed masses- since he remembers that you are in the middle of nature and surrounded by wild animals.
On a safari you are in nature and in a wild environment, so behave accordingly. Don't scream, silence is the best ally to see animals. Don't even get out of the vehicle if the guide doesn't give you permission. Being devoured by a lion or attacked by an elephant is surely not the experience you were looking for.
Do not carry expectations of what you will find or see . Animals are not there to give you a show whenever you want, it is not a zoo. Being able to see animals is subject to many circumstances, especially luck. So enjoy and be amazed.
Also be prepared to watch scenes or live situations that you may not like so much . Africa is wonderful, but you can also see difficult scenes or have unforeseen events. You will have to suck heat and much, much, much dust. Not to mention that the routes to get to the parks can be hellish due to the state of the roads and highways. Also, you have to get up very early, usually before dawn if you want to see animals. But nature may also give you magical sunrises.
WHAT BEACH TO CHOOSE AFTER SAFARI IN KENYA
Usually after the safari, most travelers go to a beach to relax and rest after the beating (wonderful, but beating) of doing a safari.
It is very common for people to opt for Zanzibar after a safari. But if you do not intend to also go to Tanzania for a safari, my recommendation is that you stay on the beaches of Kenya. You will also avoid having to pay another visa, the one from Tanzania and a flight to Zanzibar.
Zanzibar is wonderful, but Kenya's beaches are a true paradise too . In addition, they currently have much less tourism than a few years ago, it has dropped a lot, so most places are not super exploited and it is also cheaper than Zanzibar.
You can opt for the area south of Mombasa, such as the beautiful beach of Diani . Or by the Northern beaches, such as Watamu or Malindi . They are all very beautiful, although I personally liked Diani more.
We, in addition to the safari, were touring the entire Swahili coast. We started in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, to continue in Zanzibar. Already in Kenya we were on the island of Lamu and we went down the entire coast, Malindi, Watamu, Mombasa and Diani. Swahili cultural heritage is wonderful, and it was one of the important parts of this trip and browse our Tanzania safari map, beyond the beaches and the safari.
